how I want my style to change !

Hi cuties!
Sorry it's been a while since my last post; lately I've been thinking about my style and how I want to evolve and change. I've been going through a "style crisis" as I like to put it, where I doubt the style I've been wearing and the clothes in my wardrobe.πŸ’•

I love yumekawa and fairy kei; but lately I don't think i'm pulling it off the way I want to? I love the idea of big, oversized coords with cute tutus and dreamy tights. I also really love wearing a lot of accessories, which isn't typically fairy kei or yumekawa, but I feel if the accessories are dreamy, then I can make it work! 😍🌸

This my current "fairy kei and yumekawa" inspiration board! Themes that I've noticed are the poofy, thigh high tutus and skirts, detailed tops and dreamy hair accessories! Spank tights also make a few appearances as I love the dreamy prints! πŸπŸ’• I also love the colour schemes- with pink, yellow and blue being the main colours that appear. This year I really want to add more sax blue clothes into my wardrobe!πŸ’™

Another style that I wear but want to change, is Decora! Decora is known for being a bright, layered and heavily accessorised style and I find the style so much fun! However, I've been currently disliking how the style looks on me.πŸ˜“ Some bright colours don't suit me, and often putting a lot of hair-clips in, parts my hair oddly. I'm not a fan of wigs, but I want to find a way to wear a lot of hair clips in my hair! πŸ˜‡
This is my decora inspiration board! Themes that I've seen in my moodboard are the use of layers; including multiple socks and tights, layered tops and a lot of accessories layered on-top of each other. Tutu's are also prominent in this moodboard, which I personally believe is caused by Kurebayashi, who often layers 2 or 3 tutu's on top of each other.
There are two substyles of decora that i've always been interested in trying; Pastel Decora and Monochromatic Decora.
Pastel decora is basically swapping out the bright, often neon colours, for pastel, soft colours! Mokei (bottom right) happens to be one of my main, decora fashion inspirations! Her looks were so sweet and expertly decorated! I love the use of 6%dokidoki's and daiso's hair clips! She also used plasters and gem decorations on her face which I think are super sweet!πŸ˜πŸ’•
Monochromatic decora is a substyle of decora which uses only one colour! I've always loved this style but I've only worn it once! 877dokidoki (otherwise known as Creamy Sauce) is a big decora inspiration of mine who often wore monochromatic looks! I'd love to do a full blue look, or a full pink look!πŸ’™πŸ’•
more examples of monochromatic decora looks !! (images belong to tomoike_2525)

My favourite inspirations: 877dokidoki, mokei0929, dreamytabby, minaminakawaii, pastelhorror and kurebayashiii

So that concludes how I want my style to evolve/change! I'm looking forward to the future of my style! Let me know what your favourite styles are! πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜

fashion sweet heart: LittleMomiji ❤

Hiya cuties! Today I wanted to talk about another one of my fashion inspirations, LittleMomiji! Freya mainly wears fairy kei, decora and spank kei! One of the main reasons I love Freya's outfits is the amount of effort she puts into every coord; all the accessories and clothes compliment each other so nicely! She looks like she has so much fun in the fashion, which is really inspiring! Be sure to follow her instagram!
_Amiinatt_ and Littlemomiji
This outfit is one of my favourite of hers! It's such a dreamy coord with all the colours complimenting each other nicely! I love that the top is tucked into her shorts, as it gives her coord a cute silhouette! I also really like that she used colours from her DreamyBows x 90884 top in her accessories, the yellow and pinks standing out the most! The shoes and tights also look really cute together; overall making this outfit look really soft and sweet!

These two outfits are also really sweet! They both include trousers, which tend not to be too popular in fairy kei, however I think they look really sweet and compliment her well! In the first picture, she's wearing a pair of Milklim pants that have really cute pocket details on them! I like how the top compliments the pants with the blue/minty details! In the second picture, she's wearing a pair of wide pink trousers which have heart cut outs on the front! I like how she wears a pair of Spank tights underneath and a cute 6%dokidoki pastel mille-feuille skirt belt on top! This outfit has such a nice silhouette and looks so dreamy!
This outfit is another favourite of mine! Following a more spank kei style, this outfit features a really cute vintage, pastel sweater with lilac shorts, spank tights and strange cvlt x yru pastel creepers! The oversized top and cute motifs gives the outfit a yumekawa vibe, and I love how all the pastel colours compliment each other! Her hair has also been styled really cutely, with a sweet up do tied with a lilac scrunchie. This coord is so dreamy, I just can't help but feel inspired whenever I see it!

Freya has a really sweet sense of style and I love how she pieces everything together! All of her coords have such nice silhouettes and the attention to detail is so inspiring! I can't wait to see what outfits she makes next, because they will no doubt be inspiring and super dreamy!

my favourite angelic pretty prints !

There are so many cute Angelic Pretty prints, all with their own cute details and themes! I'm actually a huge fan of sweet lolita and I hope that I can explore the fashion more this year! So here are my personal top ten prints from Angelic Pretty! Do you think you can guess which prints will be on here? Let me know!

Dream Sky
One of the most magical and cute prints, dream sky is such a sweet and happy piece! The shooting stars and the moons are so precious, and despite the detail, they don't overwhelm the dresses. I love the big bow on the chest and all the delicate frills, they're such magical details! For me personally, I believe the dresses lack shape in the waist. I also wish they offered more pastel colours for the salopette and skirts! Overall, I think this a really cute print!
Sugar Fairy Cake
I've only come across this print recently, but I think it's super sweet and pure! While the print may be considered simple, it's really cute and precious! The cupcakes have such nice decorations on them, and I love the doily surrounding them! The gingham print is also incredibly cute! I also really love the different styles these dresses have, from the halter neck to the apron style. There's a lot of really cute details for this print, the only hard thing is choosing which version to own!
Charlotte's Bear
Of course there had to be a bear print on this list! Charlotte's bear is so cute, I love the lilac bears surrounded by gold details! I think it would work well as a sweet lolita piece as well as a classic lolita piece; The shape of the dress and the style of the bodice is very modest and elegant. Imai Kira collaborated on this print, and I love her work, which makes me really love this print. The colourways are quite dusty and less pastel than other cute prints, which I think suits this print well!
Dream Marine
Dream Marine is probably one of the most popular prints that Angelic Pretty released, and I can see why! The sea shell theme is really sweet, the pastel shells look so nice, even on the dark colourways. My personal favourite is the white OP, I think the print really pops, and that the OP has a really nice silhouette. The lace collar and sheer underskirt are really sweet details, and I think the longer sleeves make for a whimsical dress. I like that they also have a skirt with cute waist details, which allows for different silhouettes!
Fancy Hospital
This print is fairly new, only releasing in November 2017, but it has to be one of my favourites to release in a while! It's a really nice change from Angelic Pretty, as they tend to rely on sweets and toys, while this one has an almost "menhera" theme! The OP, JSK and Cutsew are all really cute; the cutsew has a sweet, casual feel to it which I think is quite nice for versatility! I also really like the colours the dresses come in; the pastel colours are really sweet! I really like the medical theme, I think it's such a fresh change for lolita prints, and I really hope I can own it one day!
Wrapping Heart
Wrapping heart is such a nice, detailed print, it's super sweet and the colours are really nice! The bodice on both the salopette and high waisted OP are really cute; I love the frills and the different coloured bows. All versions of this print feature a really sweet bow on the back, I especially like that the JSK has a different coloured bow. The print itself features these really sweet gift boxes, bows and an adorable bunny plush; I love all of the different prints on the presents, such as the polka dots and stripes. While some may find this print to be "too busy" I actually really love how detailed it is!
Milky Planet
Another popular print, milky planet is such a dream! The print has to be one of the cutest I've ever seen, with cute ice creams, moons, sugary fairground rides and a big ice cream castle! I personally love the 2010 JSK over the 2013 remake as the scalloped edges and collar are really cute and compliment the print so well! The OP is also really sweet; the neck ties are a nice touch and the back shirring is such a nice detail as it helps larger cuties wearing lolita! The pastel colourways look really nice with the print (I'm personally a big fan of the yellow jsk!) and I think this is a perfect sweet lolita dress!
Cotton Candy Shop
With sweet animals, stars and candy motifs, Cotton Candy Shop has such a cute theme! This print is packed full of cute details, from soft clouds to cute balloon designs, and every-time I stare at it, I feel like I discover something new! The salopette also has a really cute peter pan collar which I love! The animals really sold me on this print though; the lamb is my favourite as she has a cute bonnet with a gold bell attached! This print has such cute designs, I'm in love.
Dolly Cat
Who knew I would fall in love with such an elegant print? Dolly cat is super adorable and so pretty, there's such a delicate vibe from this dress. The lace detailing is so nice on the OP; the sleeves, high neck collar and buttons are so nice! There are also small bows and pearls on this print, which I think is a super sweet detail. But easily, the best feature of this dress has to be the cute kitties! They look so charming and adorable, their little accessories are so precious! My favourite colourways are the pink and cream versions, it really suits the print!
Toy Fantasy
And so, my all time favourite Angelic Pretty print is... Toy Fantasy! Was it obvious? All I know is that this print has stolen my heart, it's so cute and dreamy! The little animals are so sweet; I especially love the giraffe and elephant as they're quite unique for Angelic Pretty prints. The bubbles and balloons are also super sweet! The OP has such a nice peter pan collar with pastel heart buttons, the attention to detail is amazing! There are also cute stripe details on the bottom of the dress as well as the bows; they really compliment the print! I also really love the skirt; it has a built in petti coat as well as a dropped waist, which I personally prefer! The print also comes in a good range of colourways; my personal favourite is actually the white colourway as the print really stands out! I really hope to own this print one day, I hope my dream becomes a reality!

Do you agree with my list? What is your favourite Angelic Pretty prints? Comment below !
Thank you so much for reading, cuties!

Let's talk about Vintage Toys - Part One !

In fairy kei, vintage toys and cartoons are one of the most popular motifs! But why is that?
It's simple! There are so many cute, pastel toys with super dreamy details that work perfectly for fairy kei! Today, i'll show you some of the most popular vintage toys with the fairy kei community, including some of my favourites!!
Magic Nursery Pets image credit @ Mattel
Magic Nursery Pets were made by Mattel in the late 1980's; they belonged to a larger series of toys, but the animals are the most popular in the fairy kei community due to their pastel colours and sweet faces! There were four colours featured in this series; peach, mint, purple and pink! There were also four animal types; bears, bunnies, puppies and cats. A lot of details on the plushies were slightly different, from different belly buttons, to eye-shadow colours! I personally love the mint coloured plushies; I think they're super sweet!

Twinkle Bears Image Credit @ Miss_Leonie
Twinkle bears are absolutely adorable plush bears with a twinkling plate on their tummies. They lit up by either touching their nose or feeding them with from the bottle they each came with. Their soft pastel colours and adorable faces make them really popular, and I personally love them a lot! These particular toys are quite elusive now a days, and tend to go for a lot of money; they're super cute though and would be perfect in any vintage toy collection!
Popples image credit @ Toysmagz
Popples were another cute vintage toy created by Mattel and were released in 1986. They were a series of plush toys that could be pushed inside it's own pouch to create a furry ball! They're super cute and come in a range of colours; often the pastel versions are popular in the fairy kei community, such as the baby popples and the slumber party popples! My favourites are Crisby the Baby Popple and Potato Chip from the original series!

Tea Bunnies image credit @ Tomy
Tea Bunnies were originally produced by Tomy at around 1995; they are a set of pose-able plastic bunnies which came with tea cups that doubled at shops! Each Tea Bunny has a dress, plastic hat, bunny sized tea cup and a large tea cup and saucer. The hat has two holes on the top so the bunnies ears can fit through; the hats also work as roofs for the large tea cups.  I personally find these cute toys to be underrated; the soft pastel colours, sweet flower themes and the small details are super sweet! I really like Daisy Breeze the yellow bunny and Pansy Parfait the mint bunny!

This ends part one of looking at cute vintage toys !! (I did write more but accidentally deleted it haha)
Next time, get ready for Care Bears, PJ Sparkles Pets and Yum Yums!
See u next time cuties !

fashion sweet heart: minaminakawaii ❤

Today i'd love to talk about one of my favourite fashion inspirations, minaminakawaii! Mina wears mainly wears fairy kei, but they also wear spank kei, decora and sweet lolita! One of the main things i love about their outfits is that they often combine styles, such as wearing sweet lolita skirts in fairy kei and sweet fairy kei pieces in decora! I love all the little details in their outfits, their style makes me so happy! Be sure to follow their Instagram and YouTube!

This outfit is one of my favourites; the use of cute layers and accessories make for a cute, fancy outfit. The 6%dokidoki top and milklim collar match so well, it's like their one piece! The skirt also looks so good with the top; the colour combination is so sweet and precious! The lilac legwarmers and lilac garter also help balance the outfit sweetly! The wig looks perfect with this outfit; the space buns are really sweet, and I love how they placed bows on top of them. This outfit is so dreamy and really inspires me to make a coord like it!

These two outfits are perfect examples of sweet, oversized fairy kei looks! I love the poofy skirts and the oversized jackets! The first outfit, while it features a bright, decora like top, still looks very cute and yumekawa; the fluffy lilac tutu helps with the dreamy silhouette. The second outfit has a sweet space theme to it with stars and planets, but the soft pastel colours make for a sweet fairy kei look.
This outfit is another favourite of mine! I love the soft, pastel tops and skirt, followed by these bright, decora styled tights and shoes! The use of frills in the collar and skirt helps tie the two together and I love the oversized look of the cardigan! Blue, pink and yellow are very prominent in this outfit, which helps make the outfit cohesive.

Mina has an adorable sense of style, and I love how they piece everything together! I always find myself smiling when I see a new outfit of theirs, because it's always super cute and inspirational!

Mina, (if you're reading this), you are super cute and amazing and I hope one day I can meet you! Thank you for inspiring me everyday! ❤❤❤

Lets talk about Cute Bedrooms!

If there is one thing i love to look at, it's definitely kawaii bedrooms!! I love seeing all the cute, little details and the dreamy aesthetics !! I personally love having a cute, personalised room; nothing beats living in a cute environment and being surrounded by things you love!
Today I'll show you some of my favourite bedrooms and their cute details!! I hope they can inspire you to make a dreamy room too!

First room I want to talk about is the room of Mypasteluniverse. Charlotte has a large variety of cute, vintage toys and plushies; this really helps create a dreamy aesthetic and the colours look really nice with fairy kei! The toys include: Polly pockets, My little Pony, Keypers, Carebears, Mattel's Little Pretties, Fairy tails and many more! I really adore how she displays her accessories and badges; the Angelic Pretty rings are place on a cute, vanity styled toy which is reminiscent of the SPANK store in Nakano. I really love the "Cluttered Cuteness" aesthetic, because it's like cuteness in every corner!

This is Princess-Peachie's kawaii living room! Peachie likes to decorate her walls with cute posters, drawings and cut outs from calendars- this has a really cute, personal touch! Vintage toys and plushies are also very prominent in her room, with one of the most inspiring part being her bookshelf! It's full of Polly Pockets, Care bears, anime merchandise and other cute vintage toys; she's also decorated the back and shelves with cute fabric which is a nice detail! On her youtube channel, she has a flat tour which goes into detail about her kawaii house! In the video she says that her living room was inspired by other Japanese kawaii styled rooms, and that she wanted the room to be crazy, cute and colourful!

Ezaki Bisuko has an incredibly cute bedroom! The room is split into two aesthetics, one side is very yumekawa with flowing fabrics, while the other side has an impressive collection of powerpuff girl memorabilia! The shelves are often crammed full, creating a lot of details and layers! He has also DIY'ed a lot of his room, with cute pink lanterns and butterfly stickers on the shelves!

Kuua Oyasumi's room is the epitome of yumekawa cuteness! The room features a bunch of dreamy fabrics from her bed sheets to her curtains; the sheer fabric over her bed reminds me of a bed out of a fairy-tale! The Esther Kim bunny backpacks are an adorable detail to the room! I think a cute mirror is an essential to a kawaii room as it can make your outfit pictures look even cuter!

MahouPrince's room features a range of cute stuff; anime posters, branded shopping bags and their own personal drawings covers the walls which is super sweet. The shelves are also covered in cute toys, soft plushies and figures which I really like; it inspires you to be surrounded by your interests and it helps make a nice, happy atmosphere! Another detail I like is how they keep their clothing on display! They're just too cute to put away!πŸ’˜

Here are some more cute room pictures that really inspire me!

Dream Diary: the cutest meetup ever !

Making a fun and engaging meetup is such a big dream of mine; the fairy kei community has made such wonderful meet ups in the past, from cute picnics, to fifidoll's "Sayonara Summer" event! Sometimes it's tough to keep everyone together and engaged; some people want to shop, others want to do something creative, and sometimes others just want to meet up to chat. If I were to ever organise a fairy kei event, this is what I would create!🌸🌷🌻

Caspianokazaki's Sayonara Summer Video
A large, safe space which is indoors is number one for organising a good meetup. Frankly, the general public sucks, and they like to take pictures without permission, as well as make comments when we're just trying to get on with our day! Having a fun place indoors would be so beneficial, allowing people who might have bad anxiety to come along to an event, as well as allowing a big group to easily interact with one another!πŸ’–πŸ’œπŸ’

Cakes with Faces Dreamybows Kawaii Party Video
Creative workshops would also be a really cute idea; it would be really nice to be able to relax and create something fun with friends. When I attended the Kurebayashi Artbox Meetup, they had a corner with a bunch of creative items like beads, googly eyes and pom poms. I think it would be a really nice, relaxing idea for friends to do together. Like the Artbox event, there could even be a competition to create the cutest little monster/creation!πŸ‘½πŸ‘ΎπŸ‘»
missloutoyou's stall
Vendors would also be a really sweet idea! Cute clothing, artwork and plushies would be ideal as it appeals to everyone, and allows them to buy cute stuff! Here are the vendors that I think would work super well for the fairy kei community:
  • DreamyBows: They supply cute clothing, accessories and shoes which would work perfectly for the fairy kei community! The shop staff are also super cute <3
  • Indie Creators: Indie kawaii creators would be perfect for this event, it allows them to bring their work while also enjoying a cute event! Some of the indie creators I think would be good are: Missloutoyou, Fifidoll, HoshiCandy, Geeniejay and Amyblue !

A photo area is practically vital (lmaO) for the fairies! We all love to take cute photos with one another, so a specific area for it would be super cute! There could be cute props and vintage toys (people can bring toys to the event!) which people could take photos with, as well as cute balloons for a backdrop! I also have a cute friend who is really talented at photography who could take pictures, which would be really nice!

Food could be brought along as well, however this could be costly. I think it might be best if people provide their own food, but there could be a small table with drinks and some light snacks just in case! Cakes, crisps and fruit would be really sweet! πŸ§πŸŽ‚πŸ‘

Maybe one day i'll get to make a really cute meet, but these are my ideas so far hehe! I want to make the fairy kei community happy, and I hope one day I can make this dream a reality !
thanks for reading πŸ’˜
